Tropical Disease Foundation expands to a Medical Research Unit

Tropical Disease Foundation, Inc. (TDF) expanded its research services through the opening of TDF-Medical Research Unit (TDF-MRU) last October 2018.  The new unit is headed by one of the country’s top clinical investigator Dr. Rose Zeta Capending.  A Pediatrician specializing in infectious disease, Dr. Rose is a Scientist of the National Academy of Science and Technology and a Jose P. Rizal Memorial Awardee in Research. She has worked as lead on various researches and clinical trials.

TDF-MRU is a 42-strong clinical research team in-charge of rolling-out projects on studies on  typhoid, pneumonia, polio and vaccine preventable diseases. Recently, they were awarded a community site development grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The TDF-MRU is located at the 20th floor of the Medical Plaza Makati Building, Amorsolo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.
