Dr. Camilo A. Roa Jr. is a distinguished leader in respiratory medicine. His areas of expertise include tuberculosis (TB) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) research, clinical teaching, and providing healthcare to underserved rural communities in the Philippines.

He has received numerous honors, including the Presidential Award from the Philippine College of Chest Physicians, the Gawad Lingkod Bayan (2001) from the Office of the President, and awards from the Philippine College of Physicians. In 2021, he was elected Academician of the National Academy of Science and Technology Philippines.

He continues to contribute actively to medical education, clinical research, and professional development initiatives.
