On May 27, 2020, Tropical Disease Foundation, Inc. (TDF) was accredited by the Department of Health as a licensed RT-PCR COVID-19 testing facility.  The accreditation allows TDF to process samples for SARS-CoV-2 confirmation. The accreditation would not be possible without the help of generous donors Ayala Corporation (AC) through its subsidiary Ayala Health (ACH) and Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc. (BCFI). 

TDF’s  accreditation as an RT-PCR COVID testing facility is a testament to TDF’s core values and thrust to serve in the interest of public health and provide universal access to immediate healthcare needs especially in infectious disease cases. 

To date, TDF has a capacity of running 400 test per day and can provide a turnaround time of 24-48 hours from date of collection.
